Markor Technology Receives Spanish Certification for Its Game Aggregation Platform

Markor Technology has had its game aggregation platform certified for the Spanish market by Spain’s Dirección General de Orednación del Juego (DGOJ). DGOJ is Spain’s online gambling authority, responsible for regulating operators and service providers, such as aggregators.

Following this certification, Markor Technology will be able to expand its portfolio of clients by offering its game aggregation services to licensed online gambling entities within Spain, which is a regulated market. Online gambling was permitted as late as 2011 in Spain, and the country has faced some issues with problem gambling since then. However, DGOJ’s efforts in regulating the market have made a significant difference in the past few years. In 2020, Carlos III University conducted a gambling survey, concluding that less than 1% of gamblers in the country fell into the “problem gambling” segment.

Markor Technology is a leading aggregator with a massive portfolio of over 5000 games from more than 70 slot providers. These include giants such as NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, and Evolution Gaming, but also promising providers like Booongo. By hosting games from these actors in its aggregation platform, Markos Technology can offer a wide variety of content to its casino clients, including slots, table games, scratch cards, and much more.

Despite its enormous catalog of games, Markor Technology always aims to expand by partnering with prominent providers. Its content offering will keep growing in the future, resulting in an ever-growing branch of games that Spanish players can now pick from.

With a population of almost 50 million, Spain is a lucrative market within the iGaming industry, and Markor’s acquisition of this certification will allow the Gibraltar-based company to advance toward its goal of making its products and services available worldwide.

Melissa Summerfield, CEO at Markor Technology, said: “Although we’ve only been in business for  a couple of years, Markor Technology has already established itself as a reliable provider of game aggregation services in the iGaming industry – and the certification of our Spanish B2B platform will only strengthen this position further. Now that we have received the formal  approval to work with licensed Spanish operators in the country, we’re very much looking forward to helping our clients make a real impact in the market. With our fast and flexible content delivery plus a vast portfolio of exciting titles, we make it incredibly easy for clients to provide their customers with the very best in online casino gaming.”

What Is an Aggregator?

An aggregator acts as a middleman, connecting casino operators with content providers, payment systems, solutions, etc. Instead of operators having to negotiate and partner with every single provider individually, they can access games via an aggregator platform and have everything in one place. This saves a lot of time for all parties involved, letting providers put their effort into making great games and allowing operators to focus on providing a good experience for their customers. This type of service is crucial for many new, smaller providers, as it would take too much time to create a big reach on their own.
